Template Updates

Filed under: CFDBlogger Updates — CFDBlogger Admin @ 8:12 am

Over the next few weeks, you will notice some changes to the templates and some of the design aspects of different areas of the admin. These should not affect anything that you are doing for your blog. The changes are mostly cosmetic though there will be a few small functionality changes.

Please let us know what you think about the changes in the comments of this post.

Update… Downtime…

Filed under: CFDBlogger Updates — CFDBlogger Admin @ 9:53 am

UPDATE #2: Ok. Last update. We are good to go. You will need to re-apply your template settings and upload your pics again, but you should be back to normal. No posts were lost. Let us know if you have any problems.

Update #1: I think we are getting closer now. Everything should be working except for the templates right now. Those will start to get fixed up soon. Comments are working now, so if you do find something that isn’t working, PLEASE let us know ASAP. Thanks!

Because of a large update on the blog software, we had to remove the templates and images that you had up. We are not happy about this, but it had to be done to keep the service stable.

We should have everything back to normal soon. You will need to reupload your pictures in order to have them working again. We will be doing some testing here and there, so please expect a bit more downtime. Please report any problems in comments on this post.

New Update….

Filed under: CFDBlogger Updates — CFDBlogger Admin @ 9:53 am

There was an update applied on Tuesday the 29th. We have noticed some small problems here and there, but nothing that will affect your ability to continue posting. Images are broken again because of a change in the image uploading script. Those will hopefully be fixed very soon. If you see any other problems, please let us know.

Some new updates…

Filed under: CFDBlogger Updates — CFDBlogger Admin @ 9:19 am

During a large update on 11/21/05, there were some code and database issues. Those have been fixed except for one issue with image uploading. We are hoping that issue will be fixed by the 23rd. Please be patient while we work the kinks out. If you are having any other issues with the site besides image uploading, please email support.
Thanks!

Default template change

Filed under: CFDBlogger Updates — CFDBlogger Admin @ 11:34 am

With the addition of the new templates and a recent upgrade to the software base there were some changes to the default template causing some blogs to temporarily be unavailable. The fix was simple and only took a few minutes.

In the future if your blog is displayed as a white page only please attempt to log into the backend (your blog url with /wp-admin added to the end) and change your blog theme by selecting the ‘Presentation’ tab.

There is a similar fix if your pages are not displaying correctly. Just log into the admin area for your blog, and manage your pages. Edit each one and then save it. There is no need to make changes.

All in all, the page and template issues were caused by two different parts of the update and should not happen again if we can avoid it.
